### Singapore Budget 2026 Tax Changes

The Budget 2026 statement introduced several tax measures including adjustments to personal income tax brackets, enhanced corporate tax incentives, and updates to the progressive property tax rates.

GST Ongoing

### GST Remains at 9%

The GST rate remains at 9% following the increase from 8% on 1 January 2024. The Assurance Package continues to provide offsets for lower- and middle-income households through GST vouchers and U-Save rebates.

Corporate YA 2026

### Corporate Income Tax Rate Unchanged at 17%

The headline corporate tax rate remains 17%. The partial tax exemption scheme and startup exemption scheme continue to apply. Singapore remains committed to the OECD's Global Minimum Tax \(GMT\) framework, with the Domestic Top-Up Tax \(DTT\) in effect for large multinational groups.

Filing YA 2026

### Personal Tax Filing Opens March 2026

IRAS has confirmed that e-filing for YA 2026 \(income earned in 2025\) opens on 1 March 2026. The e-filing deadline is 18 April 2026. The No-Filing Service \(NFS\) continues to expand, covering more employees.

Personal

### Personal Relief Cap Remains at S$80,000

The total personal income tax relief cap continues at S$80,000. This cap applies to the aggregate of all reliefs claimed by an individual.

Digital

### Enhanced Digital Services

IRAS continues to improve its myTax Portal with enhanced digital services, including improved pre-filling of tax returns and expanded digital notification options.
